How do you utilize your Facebook blog page?
I made my Momma Bird page a few months back because my personal page was getting bogged down with "blog pages" in my feed. Once I made the page, I went and "liked" all my fellow blogging buddies through my page. Well lately I'm just getting confused because I will "like" a page when I'm in Momma Bird mode but then will sometimes forget to like it when I'm in Michelle P. mode! Ugh. I mean I don't see loads of 'hits' on it, there's not much traffic - so what's the point really?
I guess I'm just wondering how all you other bloggers use it.
I need advice.
And help.
Please.
&
Thank you.

For me, the only perk I've seen to my FB page is that lots of people that like me on FB don't necessarily follow me on any reader. So the only way they know I post is if I share the link on my FB page. Not crazy about another step though, lol.
ReplyDeleteI use networked blogs an app on facebook that when I post on my blog it will automatically update my blog FB page and twitter! and i use it to communicate with other bloggers and readers with what i found and share it with them :)
ReplyDeleteHello there friend. Okay so let's face it this world of Twitter, Blogger, & Facebook is confusing right? I mean really I struggle too. So for starters I keep my personal page just that friends & family. I do have a few people I've liked on there like Barn Owl Primitives for like ever but I focus on my personal blog page for liking blogs, shops etc. I just put a mention up for you. Sometimes the more people talk and add you to their feed the better. Whenever you want to mention someone you know to just do @ shop or business afterwards? You probably knew that already. Okay so excited for tomorrow! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI think it is a good way to reach out to readers who might not have a blog or twitter. You can try to interact with people there too as well. I guess just makes you more 'well-rounded'
ReplyDeleteI have a personal facebook page and then a separate page for my blog. It's a good way to keep in touch with readers who may not subscribe to GFC! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is the same reason that I have just set up a blog facebo page ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog btw x
I feel the same way about facebook. I made mine a while back but I don't get much feedback on it, but I post links to my blog posts. I created it mostly for my family/friends who read my blog but don't use GFC or RSS feeds so that they know when I update the blog.
ReplyDeleteWith that being said, I saw that you liked my fb page and I'm "liking" you back! :)

yes, definitely use networked blogs to automatically publish your blog posts for you. every once in awhile (a few times a week) i like to post a comment on my blog page for my readers. i'm not super active on my FB blog page, but it's still nice to have!
ReplyDeleteI am super new to blogging, but it was helpful to read the comments on your post! Just found your blog, and now I'm following you! If you have a second to check out my blog, I would really appreciate it!

I had a FB page for a minute for my blog, but deleted it. Now that I'm getting more followers I may try it out again... I'll also have to look into this whole network blogs thing. lol Clearly I haven't been utilizing all modes of social networking. Perhaps its time! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a fb page too, and mostly use it to share that new posts are live. Occasionally other things, but don't get a whole lot of feed back either. =)
ReplyDeleteI don't use mine enough - still working on that too!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to use any of that. I am still trying to figure out how to search for blogs that are of like-minded people, I wish there were ways of doing that. You know how facebook shows you "people you may know" or "things you may like" - does blogger have something like "blogs you may like"? that I would totally be into!
